On Monday the 18th of May, 6th class pupils with teachers Mr. Butler, Miss. Walsh, Mr. McDermott, Mrs Linehan and our principal Mr. Goff set off for Carlingford Adventure Centre in Co. Louth. What a wonderful two days we had! Despite the very mixed weather conditions, the children definitely got well into the spirit and showed great participation in all activities!

What busy bees we have been in the last number of weeks! As you may know, our school show this year is 'Oliver' and rehearsals are well underway every afternoon! The show will take place on the 17th, 18th and 19th of June so make sure to keep an eye out for when tickets will be on sale!

In Miss Walsh's 6th class ,we are all very proud of our classmate Cathal Stafford who came second in the 'Toyota Dream Car Competition.' This was a national competition throughout Ireland and as well as receiving a digital camera and €50 voucher for art materials, Cathal's picture has also been sent to Japan for the worldwide competition. Last Friday 6th of March the two 6th classes set off to Ballyvaloo in Blackwater for their Confirmation retreat. All children had a fantastic day. The retreat leaders were Annemarie, Ben, Brigid, Finn and Mary. The children participated in many activities in small groups and as a whole group. Some of the activities included a game to find out what the children have in common, making a rainbow web, a game to help them choose the right path and a play about Simon Peter. The children also sang some songs and one particular favourite of the theirs was 'Trading Sorrows.'
