This week in Rainbow 3, our baking day was the same day as Pancake Tuesday! So I think you know what we made... mmm pancakes! We walked up to the shop and got all of our ingredients to make them. We all helped by taking turns pouring the flour and milk into the bowl, cracking the eggs and stirring the mixture up. Once the pan frying fan was ready, we watched our teacher pour the mixture on, to make the pancakes! We had a choice of lemon, sugar and nutella as toppings and cut them up to eat. They were really yummy. Once we had finished cooking, eating and cleaning up, we went back to our classroom to do an activity. We were each given a page with pictures of all of the steps of the recipe for the pancakes on it, but there was one problem - they were all mixed up! So we had to get our scissors and cut them out. We then stuck them onto a piece of coloured card in the correct order! Now we are able to explain how to make pancakes! :)

Yesterday, Rainbow 1 and Rainbow 3 went on their trip to Wells House! We had a lovely time on the Gruffalo Walk, where we saw lots of fairy doors on trees, a princess castle and all the characters from The Gruffalo - the fox, the mouse, the owl, the snake and of course the Gruffalo himself! When we had found all of the characters and finished the walk, we had our packed lunch and then played in the playground for a little while before getting back on the bus. We had a great time and we were so lucky the rain stayed away!

You'll never guess what! If you can remember, last week our class posted our letters to Santa, and today we had a surprise delivery in the post! The postman sent his two helpers in with some letters from the Man in the Red Coat, especially for us! Wow!! We couldn't believe it, we were so excited! We opened our letters straight away and read them. He knew what classes we were in and what we have been doing lately in school.. he must have been watching us! This has made us even more excited for Christmas... 7 more sleeps!
