September fun in Ms.L Walsh's Senior Infants

We are all well settled back to school and are having lots of fun in Senior Infants so far. We have been learning lots of new things and getting to know our new classroom and teacher. We are making our teacher very happy by following the class rules and routines and by always working hard and trying our best.

Our topic this month is 'The Vet'. We are really enjoying learning all about the role of the vet and the language and vocabulary associated with this topic. We have talked about our pets at home and how we care for them. We have made lost pet posters for the vet's surgery. We did our best writing and used our great imagination while doing so. We have been making animals with playdough and building a vet's clinic in construction and small world. We love our role play corner which is the vet's surgery this month.

We have also been playing literacy and numeracy games in small groups. These games are great fun and we always share and take turns with our friends.

We have been painting numbers and letters to display on our classroom walls. These will help us learn correct formation during our writing and numeracy lessons. This week in art, we learned all about the colour wheel and used paint to make our own.

We have been trying our best to line up properly for teacher. We got to have a popcorn party after earning ten stars for good lining up.

Have a look at our photos to see what we have been up to. Enjoy.
