Scoil Mhuire is delighted to have introduced Aladdin Connect, including the Aladdin App, for our Parents/Guardians in recent weeks. The feedback has been very positive, with over 80% of our Parents/Guardians now signed up. Aladdin Connect helps communication between school and home, e.g. all mainstream School Reports were released this afternoon. If you would like assistance in downloading or using Aladdin Connect, Michelle and Siobhan (Acting HSCL) will be available in the office on Friday morning from 9am to 11am to assist you. Please drop in if we can help in any way.

All three fifth classes took a trip to Europort in Rosslare at the end of May. We had been learning about transport that month so it was a great experience to go on a ship. Stenaline were kind enough to show us around one of their ships that travel from Rosslare to Cherbourg in France. We arrived to Rosslare around 10.15 that sunny Monday morning and were met by Stenaline staff. They brought us into the terminal and gave us a quick tour. We got to go into the special customs lounge and even had our snack in there which made us feel very important.

Yesterday, the senior infant classes went on their school tour to Kia Ora farm. Despite the worrying weather in the morning, we set off on our way at 9am. Thankfully by the time we arrived at Kia Ora farm the rain has eased off and there was no way it was going to spoil our fun. We had a wonderful time exploring the farm. We got to hold the bunny rabbits, feed the goats, llamas, deer and baby lambs.. they were so cute! We went on a trip around the farm on the fire engine and had a great time singing some songs along the way. We also had some time in the playground, in the maze and in the sand pit. We explored different modes of transport and there were lots of different diggers, bikes and scooters for us to try out. At the end of the day we got an extra special ice-cream treat from the staff at Kia Ora farm. We were having so much fun we really didn't want to leave, but realised our families would miss us very much if we didn't come home! Here's a selection of photos from our wonderful school tour for you to look at :)

We were very lucky in Ms. Barron's 5th class lately, we have been working hard & enjoying the good weather. We have visited Rosslare Europort to find out more about travelling to different countries by boat on Stenaline. We have had Sports Day and tomorrow we have got a Matinee performance of Aladdin, our 6th class show this year. Our class have a lot of responsibility tomorrow as some people are in the 5th class choir who will be singing at the front of the stage and we also have ambassadors who will have the important job of welcoming students and teachers from other schools around Wexford to our school.
