Following consultation with Parents/Guardians (via the website), the Student Council and Staff, the Board of Management has decided to change the school uniform from September 2017. The new uniform will be a navy tracksuit bottom, light blue polo shirt and Scoil Mhuire half zip. There will be one style of half zip for children from Junior Infants to 4th Class, with a different style half zip for senior pupils in 5th and 6th Classes. It is hoped that the new uniform will be warmer and more comfortable for the children.

I'm also very disappointed about the change. The idea of a growing child's foot in runners 5 days a week is not good! Barely found

Very disappointed with this also. I didn't even know there was a vote, maybe too much of a reliance on social media on the schools

Today is a very significant day for Scoil Mhuire as two of our wonderful teachers, Brigid Scully and Mary Culleton, announced their intention to retire at the end of August. Brigid and Mary have served in Scoil Mhuire since the school opened in 1983 and have contributed hugely to making it the fantastic school that it is. They always have a ‘can do’ attitude and way of working, always promoting what’s best for our Scoil Mhuire girls and boys, our families and our community. Both are teachers with great vision, passion and energy. Brigid has served as Deputy Principal since 1997 and was Acting Principal from 2009 to 2011. Mary served as Home School Community Liaison Co-ordinator for 15 years from 2000 to 2015.
