Scoil Mhuire held its annual sports day last Friday. Thankfully the weather was perfect for the whole day. The infants moved around the school yard while 1st and 2nd were on the pitch. 3rd to 6th class went to the Clonard GAA pitch. We also had a bouncy castle on the school grounds. There was ice cream in the breakfast room to cool everyone down. The children brought in 2 euro which covered the cost of the bouncy castle and the ice cream. Some of the money raised will go towards Down Syndrome Ireland. A big thank you to the parents association who kindly donated 150 euro towards the cost of the bouncy castle. Thanks also to all who helped to make sports day enjoyable for all the children.
