Ethos and Mission

Scoil Mhuire- Ethos and Mission In Scoil Mhuire it is important that every member of the school community feels valued and respected and that every person is treated fairly and well. We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. We aim to create an atmosphere of respect, tolerance and consideration for others. We seek to promote an environment where everyone feels happy, safe and secure, where all members of the school can live and work together with the common purpose of helping everyone to learn and to work together in an effective and considerate way.

Our school aims to be an inclusive school. We actively seek to remove barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individuals or groups of individuals. This means that equality of opportunity must be a reality for all our community.

We value the individuality of all our pupils. We are committed to giving all our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards. We do this by taking account of pupil’s varied life experiences and needs. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and have high expectations of all our children irrespective of ethnicity, attainment, age , disability, gender or background.

Our policy of positive discipline is built on the word RESPECT , culminating in our school slogan Together We Grow
