The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire, Coolcotts and the Board of Directors of Wexford Credit Union are pleased to remind you about the Scoil Mhuire School Savings Scheme operated by Wexford Credit Union Limited.
This scheme is being run to help teach children the savings habit by giving them access to a credit union savings account in their own school.
The account will be formally operated by the child but all cash collections will be completed by Wexford Credit Union personnel operating on the school premises. The collection point this year will be at the Main Reception and operates from 9.00am to 9.30am each Thursday morning.
The process is designed to be as simple as possible. The child is encouraged to save either an amount from their pocket money or any other spare funds they might receive. The funds will be collected weekly at the school and lodged to the child’s account at the credit union. This initiative is completely voluntary and there is no onus on any child to participate.
If you would like your child to participate in and join this initiative please pick up a form from Michelle in the office. If your child is already signed up to the scheme, there is no need to fill in the form, they simply need to bring their credit union book with them to start saving again.Last modified on
