Monday Assemblies (Junior, Middle and Senior) are presented by teachers and are used as a form of communication for all. We usually practise a song or two, announce our Frasaí na Seachtaine and Certificates for the following two weeks, and communicate general information about the school, the yard, points teams, Student Council and upcoming events. Our attendance raffle also takes place at the Monday Assembly. Sometimes we invite visitors to speak about certain topics like Internet Safety, Attendance, Sport and so on.
Friday Assemblies are celebratory. Every second Friday we host a Junior and Senior assembly. The class presenting the assembly will perform songs, poetry and a mini-drama as well as sharing their work and achievements with the audience. Current news is read out, birthdays are celebrated and certificates, reflecting our Code of Respect, are awarded to pupils from each class. Our sixth classes present their final Scoil Mhuire assembly at Halloween, Christmas and Easter and these assemblies are great fun.
Parents are invited to attend our Friday assemblies. The Principal or Deputy Principal usually have a word or two with the assembled group before everyone departs for the weekend.
