If as a parent/guardian you would like to participate in some in-class activities with your child and other children in our school, you must first complete the Garda Vetting process with Scoil Mhuire.

There are a few steps to completing the process and it usually takes about 10 to 15 school days.

Step 1

Complete Section 1 of the Diocese of Ferns Vetting Invitation Form, available from the secretary’s office. You must provide the required forms of ID with your application, which must include photo ID and confirmation of your home address.

Step 2

Complete the Vetting Form you will receive via email from the National Vetting Bureau (NVB) within the 30-day timeframe allowed by the NVB.

Step 3

Scoil Mhuire will receive a copy of your Vetting Disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau.

Step 4

You can participate in activities in Scoil Mhuire as a parent/guardian who has completed the Garda Vetting process fully.

Our pupils really love when their Mum or Dad, or Granny or Grandad, comes to see them at school and to help out in the classroom with some fun school activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity too for you to see your child at work, learning with their classmates and having a good time at school. We very much encourage our parents/guardians to complete the Garda Vetting process with us. We are always very happy to assist with the vetting paperwork, please just let us know.
