Halloween is a super fun time in Scoil Mhuire! Our wonderful Parents Association transforms our Woodland Garden into the spookiest of Halloween Gardens. Our pupils love to visit the garden with their classmates and join in with all the antics of the witches, ghosts and goblins.
Our Halloween Walk takes place on the day we close for Halloween break and is a much celebrated event in our local community. Every pupil dresses up in their favourite costumes, as do lots of our staff team and parents too! The arrival of pupils to school is a sight to behold that day as all sorts of magnificent creations make their way on foot and on bikes and scooters from all corners of our community!
The girls and boys, and Mums and Dads too, go to extraordinary lengths to create unique, fun and weird and wonderful costumes. There is a prize for the best dressed pupil in each classroom.
The whole school sets off on the Halloween Walk together, with our 6th Class pupils leading the troupe. Parents, family members and even family pets line the route, cheering the girls and boys on.
Our Halloween Walk is a much-loved, fun event in our school, with the added bonus of raising funds for important school projects.
