Welcome to Scoil Mhuire.  We are a co-educational primary school of 600 pupils located in Wexford town.  We provide for children from Junior Infants to 6th Class and for children on the autism spectrum through our Rainbow Early Intervention Class and our three Rainbow Primary Classes.  Scoil Mhuire is an ethnically diverse school, hallmarked by its ethos of welcome, inclusion and nurture since it opened its doors in 1983.

Genuine respect for diversity, equality and inclusion is embedded in the ethos and day-to-day practices of our school.  As a school, we will care for and nurture your child.  We will encourage your child to be confident, to make friends and to have lots of fun.  We will look after your child’s wellbeing, supporting their physical, social and emotional development.  We will help them to learn to read and write and do Maths.

As a school we promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) and the Arts which promotes a culture of collaboration, innovation, creativity, problem solving, critical thinking and improvement amongst pupils and staff.  We strive for our pupils to have the opportunity to investigate and challenge their way of thinking and learning.  Our curriculum aims to foster your child’s interests and abilities through an open, welcoming and nurturing environment.  We enjoy learning, playing and growing together in our school.

Our school motto is “Ní Neart go Cur le Chéile – Together We Grow”.
